Any word on when it will be? Hopefully not the same week, cuz I can't make it.

A schedule hasn't been announced.

Harrah's has said they want to move up the satrting date of the WSOP. It's really drifted over the last few years (Main Event 2003: 5/19, 2004: 5/22, 2005: 7/7, 2006: 7/28). However, a key factor in setting the date is availability of convention space.

No dates annonced yet but it was said it will be earlier in 2007 (per request of espn). If you look at the Circuit schedule it can't be before May 23rd (the last day of the New Orleans circuit event).

So I would expect the start between early to mid June.

First week of June through the 3rd week of July was the plan as of a month ago, as I was told.

That will allow ESPN time to turn around a handful of preliminary event episodes to air starting in July before the main event airs starting in the middle of August, with the final episode to air in late September before the start of baseball playoffs.

Note that the new WSOP TV deal between Harrah's and ESPN does NOT include either the WSOP Circuit events or the TOC.

I turn 21, the first of June.. If I played in a qualifier around may and won a seat would I be able to play since I would be 21 when it started even though I would have been 20 when I did it(and casino age in Iowa is 21+)?

I'm a little confused.

As for the first part of your question: if you're planning on trying to qualify online, I would ask whichever site try to qualify through about their policy regarding on 20 year old satellite winners (who will turn 21 before the event starts). Just send an email to their support team, stating very clearly that you will be 21 by the time the event rolls around.

As for the comment about the 'casino age in Iowa' -- if you plan on trying to qualify through a B&M satellite at a casino in Iowa, and you need to be 21 to legally gamble in Iowa, you won't be able to get into the casino until you're 21 anyway...so I frankly don't know what your concern is here. If you're implying you might try to win a satellite in a B&M casino using a fake ID, I think that's a bad idea, even if you will be 21 by the time of the event.

nonono.. I meant, since I'm too young to be gambling online in my jurisdiction where the age is 21+..

The first events of the WSOP start in June, leading up to the Main Event starting around July 7 (depending on the # of entrants expected) leading up to the final table July 17.

does anyone know when/if they're having the TOC next year, and who they're going to invite to play?

As far as I know there won't be a TOC in 2007
