Hello all. I'm new to the site but not new to bonus hunting. I capitalized on casino bonuses about 4 years ago and made some decent coin back then as most casinos allowed bj and had lower playthrough requirements. I probably hit up about 100-150 online casinos. I stopped doing it as I had switched to playing poker and play poker as a parttime job. It will soon be my primary source of income as I am entering law school in September and will not be working.

I have read many posts and am quite interested in getting opinions from others. I would like to start taking advantage of rakeback and "special" bonuses offered from sites like BWs. The problem is that I have accounts at all the major sites already that are not tied in to rb. I am moving to a new city for school, so I have thought of using my friends name (will be my roommate) and opening new accounts that way. I feel as though I am loosing out bigtime by not taking advantage of rakeback so this is one solution I have thought of. If there is a better way, please let me know. I don't imagine I can set up rb on an existing account can I?

I also would like to start dabbling with casino bonuses again although most of the casinos I most likely already have accounts with. I won't ask for any specific advice related to casinos, although any input would be great. I think I will email casinodave as I see he is considered a great resource.

Anyways, thanks for reading and here are two poker bonuses I have not seen mentioned that I recently took advantage of.

1) betuspoker - 100% up to $500. 125 action points needed for each $1 in bonus. Released in one lump. Tourneys earn action points. Ends up paying back 80% of buy-in fees....not 100% sure how AP's are calculated in ring games.

2) Redroompoker - 100% up to $500. On same network (tribeca) and has the same terms. As a sidenote the bonus code listed on the site is expired. Contact the "manager" via the pokerroom live chat to get the new code.

It is going to be a HUGE hassle to have accounts in your friends name. If you are playing for any serious money it is also not worth the risk of getting all your money confiscated either IMO.

Rakeback (percentages are often around 35%) may or may not be better than deposit bonuses (which are a form of rakeback) depending on the limits you play. Generally, if you play the higher limits, bonuses are probably better.

Some rooms allow for prop players, but there are generally pretty onerous restrictions. My advice--I am a bit biased since I work for thirdbullet.com--is check out some of the non-major sites.

BTW, congrats on law school. I played poker during my years--and some unsolicited advice, the money you may make playijng poker is not worth compromising the $40,000 a year tuition you are paying, or the much more valuable networking time you could have had with your classmates.
