View Full Version : Is ANYONE having success at Crypto Pontoon anymore?

Or am I the only one who has been universally doomswitched?

I used to finish every monthly bonus of theirs pretty close to the expected value flat-betting 1 at a time, but for the last few months I've been losing the entire bonus plus a little more on every site using the same method.

The main difference I've noticed is that the dealer NEVER busts anymore. I couldn't even begin to tell you how likely it is that the dealer will pull a 5 or 6 on a 15. It happens 95% of the time. If I weren't such a lazy bastard I would organize all of my recent hands for examination because there's no way this [censored] is valid. I noticed some other people complaining about busting out recently playing Pontoon, so I'm just wondering... is their new doomswitch universal?

I played pontoon in VIP last month and came out around $40 above EV betting $5/hand. No problems here.

On the year playing InterCasino only, $5/hand Pontoon.
+$82
+$24
+$50
+$110
+$4
+$97
+$89

Plus I have $266 in bonus money there but I am behind on the WR to I have to clear some old months before I can cash out. So rigged.

I was starting to wonder the same thing myself, but then this month the dealer busted the first five hands I played. I made a good profit this month. Having said that, I expect to never win another hand.

Also, I followed someone else's recommendation of turning off the sounds and animations. Not only does it go much faster, but you never again have to hear that smug dealer jerkoff's British voice, "Play-ah busts."

The only Crypto site where I didn't turn off the voices immediately was Sands of the Caribbean, because the dealer's voice was so awesome.

Playah have da Pontoon!

I have *never* had a winning session at pontoon.
Every few months I try it, lose my deposit+bonus, kick myself and go back to blackjack.

I've never had a great session at Pontoon. Always seem to go positive and then go back to where I started just as fast.

I seem to do lots better at blackjack (little more stable too), but I like Pontoon since its different. I usually do half Pontoon, half blackjack.

I think what I am gonna start doing is get to a certain positive point in pontoon and then just clear the rest in blackjack.

Since May, I am down -176 units in 6822 hands of flat betting pontoon and -199 units flat betting blackjack in 5952 hands.

This is a total of -375 units using perfect basic strategy in each game. If I ever run good at these games again it will be a pleasant surprise. Still making a modest profit though if you add the bonuses though.

I bet $40/hand on the 80+80 places.

I cashed out four figures just yesterday!

Umm, you do realize you can cashout your deposit after losing just the bonus at Crypto's right? They're riskfree.

I dropped 24 bets in 60 hands of crypto pontoon yesterday. That sucked.

The only reason I have heard that people get banned from bonuses at the Cryptos is due to playing them riskfree. I am not going to risk losing out on these due to some short term variance.
