So last night I deposited $25 on Sharks to whore the 200% initial sign up bonus that they offer. Once finally cleared I had $105 in my account to withdraw and I attempted to withdraw my money back into neteller. The next day I get an email from neteller saying that 25 dollars was deposited into neteller from sharks, and so, while wondering where the other $80 is, I attempt to sign into my account but it is locked. I contact customer service and they say you are required to be 21 to gamble because they follow US standards, and so all of the money I made was forfeited. So sure enough thats what their Terms and Conditions say. Guess I'll read the T&C's from now on.... sucks though cus its the first time i ran hot betting big.... Just wish they would have not let me sign up for an account and deposit money. anyone else have this problem?

That is so sweet age is only a concern when cashing out, but if you lose it all thats just fine. A bunch of [censored] thieves I sure hope you manage to hurt them a bit.

wrong. Their terms say you can't "gamble" if you're under 21.

In practice, what they are actually enforcing is that you can't "win" if you're under 21.

What is Sharks? Is that a poker site?

Although I don't think you can know what they are actually enforcing, I could understand they're not checking every account that has lost their money.

But whatever they're enforcing, it's your own responsibility to check the terms and condtions, that's what you agree to when you sign up. You cannot blame them.

yeah, i agree that it's my fault that i didnt read the t&c's but it just sucks that they let me sign up and deposit anyway. I mean how hard can it be to put a "blocker" in their software that doesnt allow you to sign up for an account when you are specifically asked to type in your birthday when you are signing up?

Anyway, has anyone heard of or seen of a list of casinos that require you to be 21? I'm 19 btw and i know there are a few that require you to be 19, but obviously that's not an issue for me.

And this is exactly why the US government is trying to ban it. Other than being bitter about not getting a piece of the pie in taxes, of course.

yeah so true, but they're in this to make money not make people happy. If people dont' fully read the TOC (and i'm assuming something says you can't cash out/play unless you're 21) then it's their fault. If, on the other hand they let you play if you're underage and then not cash out then it's bs...however if you were underage and you busted would you copmplaing?
