View Full Version : PP - When is the Monster BBJ +EV?

I play 2/4 and pretty much all the tables on PP these days are Monsterized. The jackpot is pretty much always over the 190k that BW lists as the breakeven point for EV. However, the payout calculation is different. According to PP, 15% of the BBJ rake is put into the Monster, and 35% is added to the BBJ. Of the BBJ, 72% is distributed to the players.

So, what does the Monster BBJ have to be at before it becomes +EV?

Apologies if it's been asked, please link to thread, etc.

The Monster: "eating all your money, .50c at a time."

yeah, that's my gut response too, but clearly there is SOME chance of the BBJ hitting. So, how many hands, on avg, does a BBJ hit? You pay .05c a hand, so if BBJ is at 1M, and you play ten handed tables, your avg share is 100k. thusly, if the odds of a BBJ hand hitting is 1:2,000,000, then it is neutral EV when the BBV is at 1M. So... what are the odds that it hits? Also, it will hit more often at low limit tables where more hands see the flop.

edit: forgot to subtract the juice PP takes out of the BBJ. What do they take?

For non-monster, it's 190k for 2/4.

I think I'm going to hire a bunch of friends to 10 table a line of slots at the Borgata. At what point does their Mega Millionaire Hyper Bonus become +EV?
