OK, so I'm playing BJ at Will Hill, get 2 aces, and split like the chart says. I get a 3 and 4 to go with each of my aces, dealer turns over 18 before I can hit, I lose. Whats up with that? /images/graemlins/confused.gif Whenever I split any other cards I get the option to hit before the dealer turns his cards over.

Is this a glitch or some obsure rule about splitting aces? Seems to me it is -EV to split if you can't hit them after splitting.

That's a rule used by almost every casino, whether Brick and Mortar or web-based. And it's still very +EV to split aces no matter what the dealer has.

First rule of casino whoring, dont think, follow the chart, and don't worry about what happens.

which sites did you play on that allows you the option of hitting again when you split aces?

Remember, that more than half the cards in the deck will give you 18 or better, and the dealer could still bust (also hitting on soft 12 isn't all that attractive).

None, I only did Starluck before this, and I guess I must have won every time I spilt aces because I didn't notice. Thought I'd give the Will Hill bonus a shot since I already have a poker account, I'm a total noob at this.

Ken, I haven't deviated from the chart one bit. It makes it kind of mindless, but I've found that to be a good thing. Thanks for your help, I'll be getting to some of the sites you recommended eventually.

Only getting one card when you split Aces is pretty much a standard rule. The only variation is if you get another Ace on one of your split aces, can you split again or are you stuck?

I think the multi split table at Will Hill lets you split a second ace, not positive though.

3 casinos whored, up $10.

Does anybody know how to kick the virtual dealer in the nuts?
