I heard someone say that they are actually giving T1500 chips to start in the $1000 buy in events (i.e. event# 14, 15, 17, etc), not T1000 as the wsop web site says. Anyone know whether this is fact or fiction?

Starting with the ladies event (after several complaints), the 1k events got $1,500 in chips.

This is fact. Apparently enough people were complaining about starting so short stacked that they made the lowest starting level T1500. #17 was still pushbot city, but not nearly as bad in the first couple of levels as it would have been starting with T1000.

Before I get yelled at, I looked at the WSOP website, but I couldn't find the info.

1) Is it to late to register for event 40?

2) Do they run satellites for the $1000 buy-ins? If so, how soon before the events starts do they STOP running them?

3) Does anyone know when event 40 really starts? It says 10am on the list, but when you actually click on the specific event, the popup window says 11am.

Thanks.
