I'm down about $120 now and just keep lowing playing BJ.
If I get down to $200 will they let me withdraw, or what should I do, keep playing the min and hope for the best??

I dont think they let you withdraw, so you dont have a choice.

Welcome to the Land of Variance.

Just keep plugging away. It all averages out in the end. If you can't handle busting out, then maybe this isn't for you. Cuz the fact is, you WILL bust out of some casinos.

Because the answer to this question will alter my betting strategy. If I'm able to cash out when I'm down to $200 then I'll keep betting conservatively.
If I have to meet the wager requirement before I can withdraw ANYTHING then I'll bet bigger and hope to score.

this isn't intercasino. you gotta play. if you're doing the 20x's bonus and have played quite a bit already i would think you a very fair shot of still coming out ahead.

you can prob cash out $80 right now if ya want...but the bonus $'s will likely disappear

I'm about a quarter of the way and I'm currently at $330.
How should I play it? Keep betting $2 or ramp it up and hope for the best?

if it's a 20x's and you got 1k done. then this is about like intercasino $100 monthly now.

$130 bonus left with 3k in WR left. you are still EV to finish above 200 total. keep em low if you are worried

Going busto is fun.

I lost my first 13 bets at Casino Euro falt betting $10 a hand.

I have been owned in both my last casinos $2 betting , cashed out 70/200 and got exactly my deposit back on the next 100+100 bonus. Still up 315 over my first 5 casinos so I cant complain too much but it is amazing how one can lose 48/50 hands. I truly hate BJ /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I made my money back by pwning Golden Palace. I was up to $850 at one point, but I got hit with the DOOM SWITCH and only cashed out at $650.

I just did Lasseters, which is a $100 sticky bonus. I signed up through an affiliate, so I knew at worst I was only going to lose $20 if I busted.

Had to wager 10,000, so I just bet $20 a hand. Ran it up to over $1100 at one point. Most fun I have had playing BJ so far. Won 20 hands in a row at one point. Of course I came crashing back down and ended at $400 once I met WR. Still not bad.

When I played there I did the same thing - dropped $200 flat-betting $5, lost the entire bonus, and cashed out my deposit.

That was a year ago, though..

doing this isn't good as they will most likely ban you from reloads more quickly

Considering I bought $200, got $200, and cashed out my $200 before doing roulette on this one you should be able to cash out at any time.

Finnished!
Ok so I went a little bit crazy...
It was 1am here and checked my points status and found I still had 1500 to go. I was at about 280 at this point but was getting really bored with it.. So.. I start betting $10 and then I'm doing $25....Dropped to about $150 but kept going.

Cashed out $300 30 mins later.

Gambling rocks!

Warning to others though, I don't beleive betting $25 a go is particularly safe strategy. Do as I say, not as I do /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Cheers

wtf thomas, you start this thread begging for advice and then in last quarter of WR you bet as if you could care less if you cashed out anything.
what was the purpose of this thread??

From a purely EV standpoint, is what he did bad or doesn't matter?

Easy tiger! The reason for my alterering the strategy was A. Tiredness/Boredom and B. If I couldn't cash out WTF did it matter if I went bust?? Lots of poeple on this forum advocate a go big or go home attidute. For what it's worth I'll try andthink a little more carefull next time, but this time it worked.

Thanks

yup. this is exactly what the casinos are hoping for.

Probably quite a few players who have some awareness that bonuses can be +EV, but will just go crazy at some point and bust themselves.
Or, if they go crazy and actually score a little bit, will think that they've now figured out how to play the game and/or that they have some magical ability to kick azz on that particualar site and/or they are just playing with the "houses's money" now so might as well 'go for broke' even more.

From a purely EV standpoint it was good for him since he busts sometimes and doesnt have to finish the WR those times (It would have been much better to do this right at the beginning though).
But EV isnt everything, and the increased variance may hurt much more than the tiny bit of EV he gained.
And since he made this post, his bankroll is probably not big enough to sticky up $200+$200 bonuses
(making it -cEV).

The beautiful thing about "Going for broke," is how easy it is to succeed. Personally I prefer going for a profit, even if it is a little tougher...
