If you played in the 2005 Main Event

-what day did you play on?
-who was at your table?
-what was your highest chip count?
-what was your bustout hand?

I'll bite.

I played on 3rd day, table 66. Highest chip count was around 10750. I only lasted 5 hours or so and busted on KK vs AA all-in preflop on level 100-200 no ante. It felt like I got hit with a baseball bat. And I'm coming back for more of that feeling!

I busted AcAh vs As9s all in on the 9c6s3s flop. It was at the 100/200 blinds level and I had raised 4 limpers to 1500 preflop from the big blind.

I played on day 1 (I think). I believe I never got much over 12K. Busted with QQ vs AA. Tomer Benevisti was at my table, the table next door was Brad Garrett, Carlos Mortenson, and John Duthie.

Just to be clear we saw the flop headsup, the other limpers folded.

I only saw Tony G at a nearby table who was talking non-stop. The pretty japanese girl in a fancy dress (the one ESPN showed practicing her all-in move) was at a table next to mine, and of course it was swarmed with photographers and cameramen. A couple of guys from my table would go over there and ogle between hands too.

I posted my account of WSOP'05 here (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=tourn&Number=2903196&Sear chpage=1&Main=2903196&Words=+kutuz_off&topic=&Sear ch=true#Post2903196)

I played on Day 1 last year; I think I had at most 13k. There was no one notable at my table. Gus Hansen was at the table next to mine (on the left), and Isabella Mercier was at the table directly behind me. Scotty Nguyen and Eskimo Clark were also in my area.

Bustout hand: blind levels 100/200/25, I'm shortstacked with KK in the SB. Folded around to me, I raise, BB pushes (later told me he thought I was just stealing, so he re-popped, which is understandable), I call --> he turns over AJs and flops a flush. Turn paired the board and gave me some outs but the river was a blank.

Gee, I thought this would be a fun thread and all I'm reading is a bunch of depressing beats. This thread needs a Kanter-like person to spin us tales of never-ending suckouts on the way to a $50K+ cash.

I was also one table over from the mortenson/ray romano guy table. I never got above 12k or so but made it to the 4th hand of day 2, where I busted with AK against QQ, all in PF.

Halfway through the day I got moved to a table with Josh Arieh and Robert Dinero's son.

~12,000 was my highest chip count

lost with JJ v. AQs (Arieh) all-in preflop near the end of day 1 (200/400/50 level)

didn't qualify this year /images/graemlins/frown.gif

All-in preflop with KK vs. AA level 2. Opponent was very aggressive and I gave him a range much wider than AA. I was wrong.

Played in Day 1c on table 25 with Ben Roberts and two lesser semi-pro's, Patrick Callahan ( Ithink he cracked top 50) and some NY guy named Micah who was doing Coke at every break chased by some valiums. Table to our left had Moneymaker and then Ahedi joined him halfway through the day. The two tables directly behind me had Antonio on one and Annie Duke on the other and I can tell you that Annie is an attention seeking chick for sure. She shows up late telling everyone loudly how her kids come first and she had to take them somewhere etc.. and then for the hour before the dinner break she is organizing getting chinese food delivered to the table for some other pro's and buys het table all dinner for those that promise not to bust her out LOL

Anyways table 25 was the tightest table ever as we only had 1 bustout within the first ten hours!!!! We are all looking at the chips mass up around us and the field is under a 1000 out of the 1500+ before we get our first bust.

I got my stack to 16K+ at around midnight when I get 88 and flop a set, reraise the bettor and he calls, turn a blank and I raise his bet all in. He insta calls and shows me Jacks as I see the blood flow from his face as I flip the 88's - rivers a jack and drops me down to 4000.

I'm steaming as we are less then two hours to thee end of the day and I would have been looking good in the 30K'ish range, especially coming from that tight ass table. I take a quick walk and hit the bar for a double vodka on the rocks. Come back to the table and first hand pick up KK on the BB, I raise all in to 4 callers of $400 everyone folds to the small blind who calls and flips over AK

Flop has an Ace and sayonara -

Won a seat this year on PP on a $22r for $62 total and nailed the $215 satelitte on the first try so I am back this year for vengeance... or at least another good time at the ME!

nothing eventful (i only had to show my hand once and thats when i busted someones nut flush with a flopped straight flush, other hands i took down without showdown) really i was staying about average chip stack until end of day 2 when i picked up AA in BB, guy raised from button (with KQos) i call, flop comes A 7 2 rainbow, i check, he bets, i raise, he raises, i go all in, he calls, turn J, river 10

this was the last hand of day 2 so i started day 3 in the small blind with barely enough for ante + small blind and 9 away from the money

first hand of day 3 i'm basically all in (i had 1k left after posting/ante which was just enough to match the big blind), but something miraculuous happens the BB didn't show up on time, and it was folded to me in the SB so i picked up his blind + all the antes

only to go out the next hand with A9 vs A10 8 from the money

the annoying thing was it took almost an hour for those two hands cause doing hand for hand on 60 tables takes forever

i thought making it that far and so close to the money would at least get my name in cardplayer updates, but instead i was just one of the two who busted before the money - no names /images/graemlins/frown.gif

i played day 1a and i don't know who anyone is (outside of the super popular ones) so i'm not sure if i played with any pros.

this year i won a seat but i don't think i can make it due to my job (i started a film production company in 2002 and we blew up this year and have too much work to handle /images/graemlins/frown.gif )

Ouch, I'm not sure if I'd ever want to play poker again after something like that happened to me in the WSOP. Damn that's a horrible beat, especially considering how close you came to making the money. What the hell was he doing calling your final push there with nothing after 4 raises? I don't get how this guy made it until the end of day 2. Weird stuff and sh!tty break.

-what day did you play on? Day 1.
-who was at your table? Prahlad Friedman and a bunch of Pokerstars qualifiers. One was another 2+2er at my table, who only posts occasionally. scottfj08 or something along that.

Fischman was one table behind me. Chan one diagonally (and Microbob of course). Harmon would have been next to me, but was moved to the TV table. And of course, Shannon Elizabeth 2 tables over, who I managed to follow behind to get back into the room after breaks (easily cleared the crowd).
-what was your highest chip count? About 16k
-what was your bustout hand? KJo, I was down to about 5k, blinds were getting higher, and I pushed after a loose player raised in early position. Player on my left who had played 3 hands all day insta-called. He has aces. Flop is QTx, but no help.

I think the problem was he came to the table about 2 hours ago and in those 2 hours I pushed him off of 4 different hands and I made the mistake of showing him the bluff once (it wasn't on purpose i tossed my cards recklessly towards the muck and of course they hit something and turn over) and he got pretty pissed (claimed he laid down bottom set).

So I guess he was steaming + thought I was bluffing him again and then bam.

After it I was pretty pissed and was ready to go home on the next flight available but I couldn't get any flights back to Jersey so I came back for Day 3.

I played on day two.

Erin Ness and Tommy Vu (tough LAG who ended up getting 17th or so.) Tommy was directly on my left and made it a very difficult tournament for me. I was very inexperienced at big buyins, live poker, and deep stack NL back then.. I am much more prepared and comfortable this year.

I also busted Erin Ness w/ AA vs AQ.

I think I had 15k at my high point.

I played on Day 1C
Arnold Spee was three to my left, David Benyamine was two to his left.
My highest chip count was somewhere around 12,750.
My bustout hand came with AcKc against a card rack's (http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=46663) 77. I was hurt quite badly when Arnold Spee put 7k in postflop on a T65 flop. I had J5 (Kramer, you were saying about Q8 getting it in with top pair?). Turn K.
