It looks like Daryn won't be getting too tricky with overcards early at the final table.

[/ QUOTE ]

Does anyone want to speculate why Hellmuth would show after folding there? It seems like a routine raising situation from late position with a big stack and then a routine fold to a reraise out of position.

Is he trying to show the table that he's not folding a big hand to suggest that he'll look Daryn up in a better situation later? I'm probably reading too much in to this but I'm just curious what he's trying to convey by showing his cards here.

jdblacknines
07-25-2006, 06:34 PM
I think he showed to "show" what kind of hand he was raising with aka a "weak" ace...maybe to entice a reraise later when he has a better hand.

Daryn is in great shape to finish at least 3rd with two small stacks left. But, that only gets him to $187k. 2nd place is a big jump to 331k.

D,

Madsen is making a run at bracelet three, so stay strong and take this one down. You are basically just two or three hands away from winning this bracelet.

Note that in the hand v. Juha, you would have beaten just about every hand including 88/TT/JJ/QQ/KK and TONS of Aces plus small pairs and suited connectors, so you pretty much just got ultimate cold-decked with him having AK and no Q falling. Rigged, but irrelevant once you start rolling in a few minutes.
