My mate is playing as part of his ME package so I'd be interested. Where's the best place for updates?

Davey

cardplayer and pokerwire. Usually just the big names get updated early on.

How the hell did the first four posts of this thread not even mention Strasser, with a thread titled "any 2+2ers in"?

According to Cardplayer.com James Gorham is at 700,000 chips (behind the leader of 790,000) and Jason is at 214,000.

Edit: Jim's chip leader and Jason's at 210

The 4-7 Monster
Jason Strasser is all-in for his last $95,000 and is called by Steve Wise. Strasser flips over 7s4s, Wise AsJd. The flop comes 9s6s7d, pairing Strasser's seven and giving him a flush draw as well. The turn is the 4d giving Strasser two pair and Wise is drawing dead going into the river. The river is the Qd and Strasser doubles up to $190,000.

The final table has a good mix of players: one guy was drunk drunk drunk tonight, knocking over chips, drooling, etc. Another guy raises and calls a reraise UTG, then checks and calls an allin bet with 25s (he flopped a pair). I like my chances for tomorrow.

Good luck Jason, hopefully we can play heads up for the bracelet.

Make good use of those chips I gave you early. I didn't make a loose raise call/loose check-push on a draw/over against you because I liked your PokerStars.Net shirt or anything. Polish up the luckbox and get it working again.

Since you hadn't figured out from the posts above you, James Gorham is also a 2+2er. So 2+2 has at least a 1/7 chance even if Strassa doesn't win!

FYI his name isn't "Age" but "Aage", only with the double "a" replaced by the Nordic A with a circle above it. Double A's are customarily used to replace this character in English, not that Cardplayer cares obviously. His last name is weirdo even in Norwegian though /images/graemlins/smile.gif

10. Age Spets raises to $45,000 from the button and Mohamad Ilyas calls from the big blind. The flop comes 10diamond9diamond3heart and both players check. They check a turn of 4club and the river is the Qheart. They check again and Ilyas shows A-9 for a pair of nines to win the pot.

Unbelivably passive.

42. James Gorham raises to $60,000 from under the gun and Age Spets makes the call from early position. Osman Kibar calls from the button and Jason Strasser moves all in from the small blind. Gorham moves all in on top and both Spets and Kibar fold. Strasser shows JJ but Gorham turns over AA. The board comes A7233 and Gorham wins the pot, eliminated Strasser.

GO Gorham

71. James Gorham limps from the small blind and Age Spets raises $35,000 more from the big blind. Gorham moves all in immediately and Spets folds.

66. James Gorham raises to $75,000 from the small blind and Age Spets, in the big blind, makes the call. The flop comes Qs5s4s and both players check. The turn is the 7h and they check again. The river is the 7c and Gorham checks. Spets checks and Gorham shows Jd2s. Spets mucks his hand.

Take home the braclet!

He got lucky with KQ vs AK, but he's been playin like a champ.

"53. James Gorham raises to $60,000 from middle position and Mohamad Ilyas calls from the small blind. The flop comes 7club6spade2spade and Ilyas bets $80,000. Gorham calls and the turn is the 3spade. Both players check and the river is the 2diamond. Ilyas bets $100,000 and Gorham calls immediately and shows A-10 for ace high. Ilyas turns over K-10 for king high and mucks his hand."

Thats another brother (PatJ i think he posts as occasionaly). I was there too, we were shooting a documentary called "Divas of Poker" that should be out soon.

Nice job Jimmy. I am somewhat to blame for Jason busting. I walked in the RIO, looked at the FT, walked there wondering if there are any 2+2ers left. First thing I hear is "Jason is all in with JJ against AA", flop came ace high, gg jason. Sorry /images/graemlins/frown.gif, my bad.
