Completing your registration for ME

My confirmation letter from the Rio saying that I am bought-in says "you must complete your registration 1 hour prior to your event."

Does this mean I have to complete it 1 hour prior to the start of my first day (Saturday), or 1 hour prior to the start of play on Friday?

I would think that its before the tourney starts, not just your day.

Last year I picked up my seat assignment (playing on the 2nd day) after the first day had started. As long as they've received your payment I'm sure you can pick up your seat anytime before you're blinded out.

I hope this isn't true, because I start in the ME on 1D (Monday) and I'm not getting there until Saturday (which is Day 1B).
