Nath has been texting me so I figured I'd start a thread. He called me at break 1 a little upset at being card dead and people playing back at him. He was up to $8k, but down to $3k at break. Now he just texted me he is up to $12k. In other words, typical Nath so far.

GL Nath and all 2+2ers in this event. I am back home and happy but jealous at the same time.

Peter Feldman up to 9k, down to 2k, then back up to 7k at the first break including busting Strassa on what looked to be some sort of cooler for Jason....

Well bummer, Nath is out. He got into a blinds battle with 88<QQ. He's not happy, as he was just starting to build some momentum.

"[Event 30] $5,000 Short Handed NL Hold'em (Day 1)

David Singer Update
Short Handed No Limit Hold'em
Jul 20, 2006 / 19:24:57 EDT
We have received word that David Singer is currently playing in two events -- he's reached the final two tables of Event #28 ($5,000 Seven-Card Stud), and he's already built up a nice chip stack in Event #30 ($5,000 Short-Handed No-Limit Hold'em).

While he is playing for the Stud final table, his 15K in chips in Event #30 are being watched over by Alexander, the three-legged pig. Alexander hails from New Orleans, a gift from Amanda Leatherman during the recent WSOP Circuit Championship.

Due to WSOP rules about one player per hand, however, Alexander the three-legged pig is not allowed to play any of Singer's cards."

I suck at coin flipping.

FieryJustice had some chips when I left, looked like 20k or so.

Saw Gigabet and JohnnyBax at the same table, interesting.

Degen,

Is the Craig Hartman listed among the chip leaders the infamous STFU OBGYN, or is it that imposter from Ft. Wayne Indiana?

There's another player from Ft. Wayne that shares the same name...there's been mixups before...

Looks like Fiery is currently 2nd in chips

Cut and pasted from my blog, so it might be a little choppy...

Everything was going great for me in the $5000 6 handed wsop event. I stacked 3 people in the first 2 hours then ran my stack up to 50,000 chips by the end of the 4th hour. I got moved to a crappy table with Eric Lindgren to my right...actually, besides him, my table was super soft. The only problem was that every time I raised, Eric would call me...and he would also call every flop bet. I pwned him pretty good for a while, taking about 1/2 his chips, as I was hitting hands and he was bluffing a lot....
Then...disaster. I had about 60,000 chips on the last hand before the dinner break. I had 99 in 1st, so I made it 1100, 200/400 blinds. Eric called, like normal, as long as some other guy that sucked and the bb. The flop was A92...yay! Im going to stack someone. The bb checked, I bet 2500, Eric called, like normal, and the other 2 folded. The turn was an 8. I bet 4500, leaving Eric with about 6000 left if he called, which he did. The turn was another 8. I pushed, he called, and he showed his AA to scoop a nice pot thar I was expecting to be mine. Thhaaatttsssss ok. I can deal with that. I still had about 40,000 chips which was 2x average. Time for the dinner break.
I came back after the break only to get 2 straight flush draws, both of which I missed, leaving me with about 25,000 chips. I then got AA all in against KK and a K came so I lost. All in all, I think I played damn good but just got screwed over. Also, in the first hour where I stacked 3 people, I had 99 on a 954 board against 54, AA on a 9532 board against TT, and AQ on a KJT5 board against KJ. I dont think I could have done much more in the getting my money in good department.

Hopefully I can do better tomorrow. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

yeah i'm wondering the same about this madsen kid..haven't heard the hype from him like we hear from zeejustin, ozzy87, or jordan superstar berkowitz.
The ESPN article made it sound like he needed to his grand parents to buy him using his trust fund or whatever...i can't imagine he went that far without a bankroll.

He also has a 3rd place finish in the 2000$ LO8. I'll be very surprised if he's really a "nobody".

Last two tables. Lindgren going for his first bracelet. :

Table 119:
1 - Captain Tom Franklin
2 - Vanessa Rousso
3 - Paul Foltyon
4 - Fredrik Halling (H@LLINGOL on stars)
5 - Erick Lindgren
6 - Jenny Kang

Table 120:
1 - Michael Banducci
2 - Jonathan Gaskell (2+2er Yeti)
3 - Paul Wasicka
4 - Jeff Madsen (2000$NLH bracelet winner)
5 - Cliff Cantor
6 - Tony Woods

Jeff Madsen Hits Runner-Runner Full House
After a flop of 6/images/graemlins/club.gif6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif4/images/graemlins/spade.gif Jeff Madsen bets $600 in the small blind. A middle position player raises to $1,500, and Madsen re-raises all-in for $8,000. The middle position player calls instantly and shows pocket 4's for the flopped full house. Madsen laughs, turns over A/images/graemlins/spade.gif10/images/graemlins/diamond.gif and says "I have outs" - and he did - the turn was a 10/images/graemlins/heart.gif and the river was a 10/images/graemlins/spade.gif. Madsen is now at $13,000.

Clearly just a giant lucky donk.

I know playing one table 4 handed and one 3 handed is a big disadventage, but how can a 6-max tourny has 7 players in a table? That seems even worse to me.

Pretty much even now, still FT bubble.

1Erick Lindgren 455,000
2Tom Franklin 425,000
3Paul Foltyon 410,000
4Jonathan Gaskell (Yeti) 373,000
5Tony Woods 350,000
6Cliff Cantor 270,000
7Jeff Madsen 260,000
