Is it illegal under current law to participate in fantasy football for money? If so, why is there no effort to enforce this?

Sports fans are most interested in sports because of fantasy football. What % of people who spend $200-$300 on NFL Sunday Ticket have fantasy teams?

The NFL would be quite mad (maybe behind the scenes) if this were to happen. Same with MLB, NBA, NHL, etc.

I'm surprised sites like cbs can offer leagues with various entry fees and cash prizes dependent on the entry fee (although the payout scheme at cbs is the most ridiculous thing i have ever seen). It is gambling, but somehow the goverment does not see spending money on fantasy football to be gambling (even with large cash prizes) or atleast appears to allow it run legally somehow. I don't know what the rules are but i'll take it.
