This article sounds quite familiar to what just happened in the House....any comments on what happened here in 2003?

yeah i was thinking the same thing. i've skimmed over the writing of both the 2003 and 2006 legislation and they appear at least in intent very similar. id too like to hear what if anything happened after 2003. either way it appears the bill will pass in senate also, if by a smaller margin.

yeah thats one reassuring item. im just concerned that this time they might actually enforce it considering that the scale of gaming is much more significant than it was 3 yrs ago. anytime the us govt loses potential tax revenue overseas, it quickly becomes a sore issue with them. the first 2 times it passed the amount of tax revenue lost was pocket change compared to what it is now.

Gambling online is dangerous because "You can sit in your own family room and your bathroom in a rainy weekend and literally go broke in a matter of 24 hours," said Frank Wolf, a Virginia Republican.

Oh no....the bathroom! Sorry to steal from Jon stewart

This stuff cracks me up. I take solace in the fact that it has been ignored before, but it doesnt mean it will be ignored again.......
