Costa Rican newspapers reporting that they fired their entire support staff today, summarily; approximately 2000 people, without notice.

ok that link doesn't say they were fired, it says their jobs are now in doubt b/c of the CEO's arrest (which is a big difference from what the OP is saying)

Sorry - my coworkers here in Costa Rica are telling me that people were brought in in groups of 40 today and fired. Will see in the newspapers tomorrow.

that may be. it would mean that negotiations between Bos and the DOJ just happened very very quickly, and Bos moved just as quickly to figure out how they were going to run from here on out. quicker than I would have thought, but certainly possible
