Event registration

My friends and I finally figured out our summer roadtrip and we managed to squeeze in a few days in Las Vegas from July 24-27. I would like to play in event 37, NLHE 1500, which begins on July 25.

Is it possible to show up on the 24th and register then? I noticed online that pre-registration requires 2 weeks prior to event. Also cash or cashier's check both valid methods?
