I will be flying out from the uk next week, does anyone know whether you can buyin after the start of the main event.

i.e. if i wanted to buyin on day4 could i just do it on day4 or 3 for example Or would it have to be on day1.

You have to buy in on or before Day 1A; last year, they allowed alternates (IIRC) up through the first level of Day 1A.

You can pre-register before you arrive; I would go here (http://www.worldseriesofpoker.com/registration/) for more information, and then, if you're still interested in registering, contact Harrah's to see if they can guarantee your starting day will be after you arrive in LV. At the very least, it's worth a shot if you're serious about playing.

yeah i am defo playing, just planning trip. Ideally i would like to turn up on day2 and play day4.

Think i heard it happened in some wpt's this year. I think giving rio a ring is prob the best.

Im 100 percent sure you wont be able to register after level 1 of day1a unless you can somehow preregister before leaving.
but call the rio. i think the cutoff time for the preregistration is 2 weeks prior. so you are going to have to talk to someone there.

I think he means Day 1D; but since the ME will be ITM by Day 4, if Harrah's would let me start then, I wouldn't object.

I don't like your chances with 10k in chips vs. 8 stacks in the high millions, but hey 9th is probably still going to pay a mil or more.

You need to buy in prior to the start of Day 1A. You can select your starting day. I just bought in yesterday and all starting days were available.
