Are they going to play the final table tonight?

It looks like the schedule says its a 3day event but maybe this has changed.

I tried sweating it but the tables are pretty far from the rail and the floorman wouldn't let me any closer. If the final table happens tonight (and any of them are still in) I will come out to cheer though.

Is it wrong of me to be rooting for CSC and NewHizzle over Ian J and the other guy? I mean I'm sure Ian has contributed a hell of a lot more than me to 2+2, but he hasn't posted in over 3 months.

If I'm being "patriotic" I rather see a regular poster wins a bracelet. And I rather it be CSC, cause he seems like a really geniune nice guy. So go CSC!

newhizzle

this is awesome!

its a real rush getting into the later stages of the tournament when literally any hand that you play can make or break you, we just started the 5k/10k level, so anything can happen now, ive been running pretty hot so far

congrats to Ian and CSC on their nice stacks, and good luck, see you tomorrow guys!

and thanks for the support of the people in this thread

we played for like a minue and 45 seconds aftert the useless dinner break before the last 2 people busted, most of the players wanted to skip it and just eat after we got to 9, but one shortstack wanted his hour break before he got busted in the first or second hand after we got back

also, i was wearing neverlose gear today because mike kim told me if i make a final table wearing it i get an extra ten grand, but i talked to him today and apparently it dosent count if its not televised, so i wont be wearing it tomorrow, i might get there early and see if i can find another sponsor though(dont know how likely that is since this event isnt televised)

GL. But damn the final table is going in with too many people having like only like 11 bets. They should've skipped the dinner break and the 1 day break. Could've wrapped the whole thing in another 30 minutes.

i was just looking at cardplayers report and if this is the hand that i think it was, they got it way off:

[ QUOTE ]
Tad Jergens raises to $4,000 and Mark Newhouse re-raises to $6,000. Nikki Harris re-raises to $8,000 from the big blind and Jergens folds. Newhouse calls and the flop comes 1064 and both players check. The 7 hits on the turn and Harris checks. Newhouse bets $4,000 and Harris calls. The river brings the 3 and Harris pushes all-in for her last $3,000. Newhouse calls and Harris flips over Big Slick. Newhouse turns over pocket Queens to take down the pot and eliminates Harris in 24th place. She receives $5,647.

[/ QUOTE ]

if i remember correctly, i think i was in a blind, she opened, a guy called, i 3-bet, she 4 bet, he folded, and i 5 bet, then we went at least 3 or 4 bets on the flop and she ended up calling down until she was all in(the guy said he would have made a straight if he stayed in)

i could be thinking of the wrong hand as i dont know if this one was nikki harris or not, but i know there was definately no hand i played where i checked behind an overpair on the flop

Amusingly you do have this off, but so does CP. Guy raises, you 3bet, Nikki 4bets (but does so accidently), guy folds, you, seeing that it was an accidental 4bet, 5bet. Nikki bets the flop, you raise, she calls. c/b/c, c/b/c.

Yeah, I feel very blessed to have made it this far. That said, the bracelet is still my goal as it was 4 months ago. However, I think I am the 4th best player at the table behind Ian, Jared, and Mark. My biggest hope is that three other players at the table against whom I have (what I think are) valuable reads against get really lucky vs. the top 3 skill players and I can abuse them. Also, it would be nice to run good.
