Geez... if it passed with a margin of over 3:1 in the house. How is gods name do we stand a chance for it to not pass in the senate? I imagine there is some variance between the house and the senate, but it has to overcome a spread of 3:1...I just think we are S.O.L.

Commments?

This is covered in other topics, but here goes.

A)The top Dem. Senator is somewhat against it
B)The other Nevada Senator might help us
C)This law will P.O people in banking, which will help us
D)The #1 Senator against us is Republic Jon Kyl, who might have a tough election coming up. Dems might block this so he doesn't have a bill passed to help him.
E)Congress runs in two year schedules and is up in October plus a Senate summer break. Any bill not made into law is dead if it is still being worked on when time goes out.

Bills get passed all the time in the House only to not go anywhere in the Senate.

I really think if it comes to vote we're screwed.

Yes, but you're ignoring that there is a very good chance that it doesn't come to a vote.
