I'm pretty sure I missed at least one bet here. I checked 6th thinking he might be setting up a check-raise with a made flush. I then feared the same thing on the river. Even if he didn't make a flush, my tens weren't looking that good against his 2 overcards.

I would bet 6th street because you might still be good and I don't want to give a free card. Getting checkraised in this spot, while possible, is not all that common in stud. I think if you're checkraised by a typical player, you can go ahead and fold.

As played, I think you have a bet on 7th when he checks twice. You will be called by many one pair hands on suspiscion after you checked 6th and he would likely bet two pair or better on the river based on the previous action.

This game has such a ridicoulously tight structure you should just play uber good cards. I wouldn't think folding on 3rd would be bad.
