This is a public service announcement for all new casino whores!!

I just finished casino.net's initial and july 4th reload bonus. I deposited 1K for a total 250.00 bonus.

Halfway through the requirement I was up nearly $1300.00 flat betting 15-20$ a hand. Insead of taking everyones advice I decided I was going to go for the huge hourly rate and a possible HUGE score.....I upped the wagers to 25 3 handed and made a few tilted 100.00 wagers....long story short my 1300 profit wound up being a 320.00 profit.

TAKE MY ADVICE NEW WHORES!!!

IF YOU HIT BIG EARLY, TAKE EVERYONE'S ADVICE AND GRIND THE REST OUT. DON'T BE A MORON LIKE MYSELF....NEVER BET MORE THAN 20.00 A HAND ON A CASHABLE BONUS!!!

[/PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT]

I HATE MONEY...FLAME AWAY!!!!

Somehow I doubt you'd be making this post had you ended up at 2000 from 1300 rather than 320.

There's nothing wrong with decreasing bet sizes when you go up a lot, and there's also nothing wrong with increasing bet sizes or maintaining bet sizes when you go up a lot. It doesn't really make much difference except in terms of time taken to clear.

Which is why I did it, wanted it to be quicker....I know in the long run it doesnt matter, but damn...I could have used that money. I just feel stupid for not $5 flat betting the rest.

LOL. Not surprised to hear that. And she can be quite tilt-inspiring.

But I disagree with your advice (that its important to grind it out when you jump ahead on a bonus) unless you were betting too big for your BR to begin with. Which you may well have been doing to get that far ahead. You were just as likely to turn 1k into 1.6k (once the bonus is factored in) as you were to drop to $500.

Your advice might apply to total noobs (and to your credit, you addressed it to them in the title) with teensy bankrolls, but I don't think it makes much sense otherwise.

who cares, if you have the bankroll, and can emotionally handle the variance, go for the overall higher hourly ev rate.

Exactly. Although in reading his/her posts, sounds like the bankroll in question was just $3k, so OP is understandably a bit frustrated (which is why this belongs in BBV...it is no more a strategy post than would be "Don't take a shot at $10/20 NL if your bankroll is $900 and you need that $900 bad).

Exactly, I had a bonus swing upwards of 1k today and then cashed out for a slight loss. This is the nature of the game, whether it swings up even more or all the way down on that casino or the next one it can't be prevented.
