Anyone been to the FT hospitality booth to pick theirs up yet? Are they the same lammers you win in satelites? Do they have hot chicks?

We should have a thread on all the various booths and which ones have the best freebies, food, etc. I would trade hot chicks for a massage therapist...

I went there the day of the Employee's Event starting and it wasn't open yet. One of their reps, Richard, was sitting outside the rooms with a bag full of chips and a list of all the bracelet race winners.

I got my $1500 in Rio chips (not tourney lammers, but cash chips, which I turned into $$$ at the cage), and he told me to "come back tomorrow" (Event #2 start day) to get all my free schwag - "Hats, T-shirts, etc" - as he put it.

I went back the night of Event #2 and the room still wasn't set up. I peeked inside and there were a couple people hanging out, and workers busy putting the place together.

Haven't been back to the Rio since, may drop in tomorrow to get my stuff. I want my red Full Tilt hat, dammit.

UB had their room set up a bit further down the hall, Doyle's Room is next to them. Absolute Poker had what amounts to a corner stand, and Harrah's has a room chock-full of WSOP-licensed merch for sale.

I just won a Bracelet Race package. Can anyone confirm that they are still giving out cash chips instead of lammers?

Also, do they have MTT satellites into the preliminary events? If so, are they all 1/10 of the event buy in, awarding 1 seat per 10 entries? What time do they start?

TIA for any info...

Thanks!

Yes, they did pay it out in actual casino chips, which makes it nice if you don't want to play and just want to cash out. Had the same experience with Richard, he is a nice enough guy, but I came back two different times on two different days and he said they were out of TShrits. I was able to get a couple of hats, a water bottle, a mouse pad, and a bottle opener keychain. The only other thing I saw them passing out was lighters, which you cannot take on a plane.

They do also have this photo booth setup where they paste you into the pros shot and give you a free copy. It's pretty kewl:

I saw this picture before I read your post, and I was staring at it going "WTF?" for about 15 seconds until I snapped out of it and read your explanation above it. Classic.
