Why are they bigger the the rest of the chips? Just got back from winning some from a guy at the wynn and I'd say the diameter is maybe 10% larger.

Anyone?

maybe to keep track of baccarat players. They usually have a baccarrat section. That's all i can think of.

They aren't. Maybe its a Wynn thing?

Lots of places have 43mm bacarrat chips. This is normal.

What the hell was someone doing with bacarrat chips on a poker table? And what colors/denoms were they? Most of these "large" chips are only in "large" denominations... I've never seen a 43mm chip smaller than $100.

What denomination? A lot of places have higher denomination chips a bit larger. I think the rationale is to deter past-posting by making them a bit tougher to camouflage in stacks of chips. I know the Borgata's $500 chips (and higher, I'm assuming) meet this criteria.

Giving them away, most likely.
