If u get a bonus and u have a raked hand requirement, maybe worth playing 7 card, you have to post an ante, so your included in the pot if u fold. Check the poker rooms requirements as the smaller tables may not count towards claering the bonus.

Play seven card stud and you have to post an ante, if you fold u still earn a raked hand cos u contributed towards the pot. Some sites require you to amass a certain amount of raked hands. So every hand u play at the table counts, where as u play texas holdem, if u folded without posting the blind or putting any money in the pot u don't get a raked hand.

For that record stud can be nice for contributed bonuses (namely prima contributed bonuses), but most bonuses are noncontributed anyhow so it usually doesn't matter. Though very few people know how to play stud, which does make the games loose (I have no idea how to play stud and I can play it breakeven.)
