Do I need to bet here or should I slow play? I'm thinking there are a number of straight possibilies and it isn't the safest board to slow play. I would also like to build a pot if possible obviously.

Texas Holdem No Limit ($0.25/$0.50)

Seat 1: All-Blacks ($20)
Seat 4: plugie ($70.15)
Seat 5: Trasma2 ($54.55)
Seat 6: Hero ($51.55)
Seat 7: Mwc67 ($45.90)
Seat 8: Cuewizard ($16.70)
Seat 9: SANDI ($4.25) [button]
plugie: posts small blind $0.25
Trasma2: posts big blind $0.50

>>> HOLE CARDS <<<
Dealt to Hero [Q /images/graemlins/spade.gif Q /images/graemlins/club.gif]

plugie: folds
Trasma2: calls $1.25

I'd bet around 3/4 to full pot

While there are no flush draws out there, the Q and T combined can make for some dangerous straight draws with anyone holding broadways.

Always beware the 10 !

I bet $4 into the pot. No one called. Afterwards I was thought only a straight draw is going to call. And I needed to protect against it. I second guessed myself. Thought maybe I could try a check raise or something. But looks like the consensus is to bet.

Very bad spot to slowplay for several reasons.

a) Slowplaying usually only works when you flopped a monster and nobody else likely hit the board. Since this is a coordinated board, someone else is likely to have hit it. Thus, they will call your flop bet with a much inferior hand. Bet 2/3 of the pot.

b) Slowplaying also usually works when your opponents are drawing dead (or very thin). Someone could easily have as many as 8 clean outs to put you in a world of trouble. Furthermore, you may really be up against more than this if both opponents have straight draws. Bet 2/3-full pot because of this.

c) Slowplaying works with short stacks and a preflop raise. If you raise preflop, but only have 40-50BB each, then you don't need to build a pot because the total pot is already 1/5 of your total stack on the flop. However, in this case the stacks are ~100BB, with the pot only being about 1/10 of everyone's effective stack. Therefore, you need to build a pot in order to let a 2nd best hand get stacked later. Bet 2/3 of the pot for this reason.

All in all-- I say bet 4$
