Casino whoring question on surrenders

I know that doubles and splits count as wagers towards your WR, but when counting the amount you've wagered for bonus purposes, do you have to subtract surrenders from this amount bceause you get half a bet back?

I have also wondered about this, but everywhere that you can check on this I have confirmed that the entire bet including surrendered portion counts towards WR. aside from the anecdotal evidence, the logical answer is that it should count. If it didn't it's possible that it would change your surrender strategy.

thanks jba. i wondered because i use a counter to count my wagers including doubles and splits, and for the starluck bonus i wagered they told me that i was a bit short/ i wasn't. i couldn't have been off by more than 1 or 2 and so i figured that the difference could have been the 0.5 bets per surrender that didn't count towards WR?

well I've never seen this spelled out in T&C, but I know for a fact that I was my count exactly matched what was told to me by starluck, and I can't imagine I cleared that bonus without surrendering.

the starluck strategy card from onlineblackjackguide recommends surrending in certain situations but the planetluck one never does. i could have sworn it did yesterday when i started clearing it. But there is a surrender option in the planetluck software. Should I use the starluck card or the planetluck one? Thanks.

the starluck card also recommends splitting aces but the planetluck card doesn't recommend splitting aces against an ace? why not? that's confusing to me and i just want to make sure the planetluck card is right.

if there's a surrender option definitely use it. if the site has a surrender option and your strategy card doesn't indicate it, you have the wrong card.

same as the split aces too i guess? so i guess i will use the starluck card instead.

I just looked at that card -- this is rules for european no hole card blackjack -- definitely incorrect for planetluck.

the reason you dont split aces in european BJ is because the dealer does not check for BJ before you make your play. when dealer is showing A in american BJ he definitely doesnt have a blackjack, but in european he very possibly may -- dont want to double your bet when dealer has blackjack 4/13.
