So on day #3 of the Tunica marathon no-sleep pokerfest I had a chunk of CCass in the 1K Grand tournament freerolling from a satellite he won. coltrane comes up. He had slept all night and was in perfect mindset for playing the Gold Strike $1,500 tournament. One glance around the room and I knew I wanted a BIG chunk of him in that game. The conversation went:
"Hey [coltrane], sell me some of your action in the tournament."
coltrane: [hesitates, gives in] "Ok, I'll give you $100."
Me: "Naw, that's no good. How we gonna calculate six and two-thirds percent? Gimme $150."
coltrane: [hesitates] "All right."
So now I've got two horses in two tournaments in two casinos, both starting at noon that day. I meanwhile am dead money. My best play is not to. A couple hours after talking to coltrane and before the tournament starts, I am still not playing and still dead tired. Glenn shows up. He asks me how I'm doing. We chat. Then he asks why I'm not playing.
I told him I didn't have to any more. I had outsourced poker.

coltrane played well, stole well and ended up busting out 13th. He was second chip leader with something like 18 left and playing well. First was $120K or so. As the players ticked down, I thought about the post I was going to make after he won it about how I made 4K negotiating my outsourcing contract.
