ok, I thought all stars reloads were 5 FPP's per dollar, correct?

This says it's seven FPP's per dollar.

"From Thursday, June 15 at noon until Tuesday, June 20 at midnight, you will receive a 20% deposit bonus (up to $120) when you add money to your PokerStars account. To earn this bonus, you will need to collect the number of Base FPPs equal to seven times the bonus amount. "

http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/promotions/bonus/

Or did it used to be 10 FPP's per dollar, and now it's lower?

To earn a FPP

Rake must be $1 for NL/PL

.50 for .5/1 FL
.75 for 1/2 FL
1 for 2/4 FL

PStars has the info on their site

7x now = not cool. 71% tourny fees back? Lame....
I'll still deposit it, but its gonna sit there since 7x stars makes me sad.
At any rate, anyone know if u can play real money on the beta software? thx.

How long do we have to complete the requirements? I didn't see that on the site.\

Edit: Nevermind, i see the answer in another thread.

Are you kidding? There aren't many bonuses better than this, esp. as you get ~16% back from the VIP store.

$3 raked pots now count as double FPP/VPP also so for higher limit players this is the same or better as the 5x, especially when you factor in the VIP program.

WiSeIVIaN
06-15-2006, 02:31 PM
If partypoker made all there reloads 14x would you have the same reaction? An increase in clearance terms isn't cool. Sure the bonus still isn't bad (there are many better bonuses btw) I cannot be positive about one of the industry leading pokerrooms raising bonus clearance. I'll still clear it while playing sngs at some point once the new software comes out, but I wouldn't touch it in cash games. As a NL player its worthless to me and there are MANY better bonuses out there. Though I admit if u play 2/4 limit or higher its pretty nice (not the best, but pretty nice).

We have to pick one of these threads and stick with it. This looks like the original one.

Does anyone know what % of pots is raked $1 or above at NL100 and NL200? Is this bonus easier to clear at those levels or at 3/6 FL? I've just made the move from FL to NL. Thanks.

Ted Metro
06-15-2006, 04:00 PM
I cleared the last bonus at $100NL and it was manageable, although for NL players playing $50NL or less it's not very attractive relative to other bonuses out there.

I think you have to be at $100NL or higher as a NL player, or you're going to have fits clearing this thing.

Stars has no rb but some affiliates have sign up bonuses. During a reload period is always a good time to sign up for Pstars but it really doesn't matter as boni stack and never expire.

YES, now is the time. There is a 100% bonus for new players (something I have never seen at Stars before).

After your first deposit, you can then make another deposit and get the 20% reload bonus. Have 2 bounses to clear at your leisure.

Check the Bonus Grid on Bonus Whores web page and sort the NL50 list. The recent Party reload is the easiest to earn but there are lots of others to choose from.

This is fairly useless for micro players yes?

If you are playing .50/1 Limit, the pot has to hit $10 to get a FPP.

If you are playing 1/2 Limit, the pot has to hit $15.

I had just withdrawn some from Party, and I'll go ahead and deposit just to have it there, but I'll never get that sucker cleared at my current limits.

It never expires. Ever.

If you have the funds available, getting the bonus now and leaving it until you play at a higher level is a good idea.

I made my deposit yesterday and have no real intention of playing there for quite a while save for the occasional tournament

Stars doesn't have an initial deposit bonus (the one you're getting is not from Stars), at least when I signed up. You'll get the bonus when you deposit.

From the average pot size in the lobby it seems not alot of pots will get FPPs at 05.1/ and 1/2, maybe less than 50%. does that make this a 15x bonus unless you play higher limits?

Hey I'm a Queen's grad also.

Anyway, I have acheived Goldstar VIP through 0.5/1 (okay, occasionally I take shots at 1/2 and only once at 2/4) alone so you can earn some decent FPP at those levels if you multitable.

For NL players info im clearing this at the mo at 100NL and its managable, if you play peak times. I would not play any lower. Clearing quicker than full tilt or ub bonuses for example.

Oh and geez is it different game to playing at other sites (except party) i might stop bonus whoring and go back for the extra fish.

What's so good about stars anyway? Their sign up is only 50 bucks.. how much is their reload worth? I realize their customer service is good but I hardly ever use that feature. Why should i join?

JMills109
06-17-2006, 02:46 AM
Its really not good for whoring, but for SNG and MTT players, its tremendous because very few sites offer bonus clearing at favorable rates while also filling SNGs at a sufficient rate.

It is, all things considered, probably the second best site to play poker online.

If you are really bad, you should join and let me know when you will be playing so I can ... uhm... benefit monetarily. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

182/840 points equals 26 dollars (7x reload).
$26/16.7 hours = $1.55 / hour / table
I have personally paid rake (from the pots won) $35 dollars, so they are making a profit with this game..

Anyone know the PLO100 rate?

avfletch
06-19-2006, 08:26 AM
Just for reference value for anyone who is interested, I'm clearing this bonus at $25NLHE 6max and I've played 5k hands towards it. Based on the amount of FPPs earnt it will take around 30k hands to clear at this level.

I probably wouldn't bother other than the fact that I'm playing the hands anyway so why not?

To put some perspective on that my winrate is about 10PTBB/100 so $5 every 100 hands expecting to make $1500 over the 30k it will take to clear. I.e. the bonus is adding nearly 10% to my winrate over that period.

I deposited for it but I'm gonna wait until I move up from 50NL to 100NL or perhaps 200NL to clear it. When that happens, hopefully double FPP time is just around the corner. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
