I haven't tried to use it in a couple weeks but I know it
worked fine for me in December. Today, I start handgrabber.
it brings up pacific for me. but it doesn't ever see the
table. It never gets past "probing for setup data". the
only thing I'm doing differently that I can think of is
I'm on ethernet instead of wireless (router seems to have
died)--but that shouldn't be the problem, I wouldn't think,
because it is able to open the client... .

anyone else having trouble?

HandGrabber uses something called winPcap which actually 'sniffs' the packets of data from your network card, so it may be worth a try looking at the command line options for it. If you have changed network card, then you will need possibly to use a command line option to tell it to look at a different device.

Also I would make sure winpcap is still running ok after the netcard change (maybe reinstall it and make sure its not getting firewalled somehow...).

I am not sure if their is a forum for HandGrabber (possibly the link to HandGrabber on the PT home page has it?), but maybe they can help more, as it could simply be pacific just changed their protocol and u need a new version /images/graemlins/smile.gif

thanks for the advice. it did turn out to be pretty simple: just pull the (unused) wireless card.
