The only thing I'd do differently is check-call the river. Give him another chance to fire a shell when behind. I think he's more liable to bet with a worse hand than call with one there.

I think I like c/c the turn. Anyone who 3 bets that flop has a pretty strong hand. I think SB has an A, UTG range from an 8 with probably a better kicker to an PP like 99/77 maybe TT.

the river at first i liked because i think it may have pushed a lot of better 8s off but then realized that they are still going to call and a PP is going to fold so I think c/c on the river is better too.

yeah the above posters are right, players are willing to bet with weaker hands than they will call with, so just c/c the river to see if he takes a stab at it with a weaker hand
