Topics concerning censored sapiens and censored sexuality have come up quite a few times, and I think the word is used legitimately far more than derisively.

This is a very valid point

homosexual
homosapien

This has been discussed on the mod board. I don't think the policy is changing anytime soon though. The reasoning is that legitimate use of the above words is still not censored. It is when one uses "ho mo" (without the spaces) then it is used derisively most of the time.

Well, homosapien is actually two words. The policy still isn't likely change, though, and we encourage you to use the one word spelling if that's truly what you want to say.

If we're going this far with it, it's actually "Ho mo sapiens", (without the space between the o and the m; with a capital H; and with an s on the end), and means, "human beings as a species".

Homosapiens works for me.
