I find myself wanting to bet my board a lot in these sorts of situations. Is this a generally dumb bet to be making?

it's not a bad thing to be aggressive. my rule is that if I'm going to call on 4th, don't see it being raised, and don't have a good chance for a free card then I bet. This sets up a 5th st. scoop if I catch a threatening card. here i check as I'm second to last to act, and it's like the ace will check as well.
