Whats the most Blackjacks dealer has dealt himself

I just ran up against 4 Blackjacks in a row!..Anyone want to run the numbers for me?

In an infinite-deck game, a blackjack happens 8/169 of the time, a bit less than once in 20 hands. That would make seeing this sequence on your first four hands a bit less than one in 160,000.

Playing online blackjack, hands take only a few seconds each: at 500 hands an hour, this should happen on average once every few hundred hours.

It will be somewhat rarer with a finite deck (the first blackjack very slightly more frequent, but subsequent ones noticeably less frequent because of the deck being depleted of aces.)

I played Party BJ for the first time last week using half a $100 bonus for a roll of $50.

Dealer dealt himself 8 Blackjacks out of 18 hands - The last one being the 18th hand when I went BJ busto. I don't plan on returning anytime soon...

I wasn't expecting to win big or anything though I was hoping for a bit of a longer run...

Your run sounds like my experiences on Bodog. It doens't matter how far I ran my money up..it always dwindled away.

I've seen 5 in a row, took one off and then a 6th. I still won money at that casino.

I've played hundreds of thousands of hands and don't remember the dealer ever getting more than three BlackJacks in a row. From these stats I guess I've been lucky.

I think my worst was 3 blackjacks in a row. On both sides of that though, there was like another 6 up face cards, and 4 up aces. It sucked.

I've never had more then 4 in a row, but I've had I think 13-15 in the span of 50 hands once or twice.

Of course there could've been longer streaks while on one of the many many autoplay hands I played and didn't notice.

The dealer had 0 blackjacks in a row. It least thats the way a winning blackjack whore thinks. Why waste time and tilt yourself based on the dealer getting a hot run of cards? Keep putting yourself in +EV blackjack bonuses and bet amounts you are comfortable with and you will win.

I only play for bonuses, not for fun, so half the time I don't even look at the dealer's up card. Only if I need it for the decision. And I'm certainly not watching to see who wins each hand.

Odds of BJ about 1 in 20 or 21 (depending on how many decks).

Odds of pocket-pair in poker 1 in 17.

So these are VERY roughly kind of similar.

I've had 4 pocket-pairs in a row before.


When I was a blackjack dealer for 8 mths I once dealt myself 3 in a row.

I also had a hand where 5 out of 6 players at my table all got BJ (and I didn't) which was pretty wild.


Finally, there is a game called 21+3 which is a side-bet on a BJ game.
If player's two cards and dealer's up-card from a 3-card flush, straight or trips then the side-bet pays 9-1.
I'll assume the chances of hitting are roughly 10-1.

I had a player hit this 3x in a row and 5x out of 6.
He went on to hit it 12x in 20 hands or so in a single shoe.
Everyone was amazed.

He took his $1k+ in profits and cashed-out and left (and hopefully took it home instead of to another casino).

You just don't remember yours
