I know there is already a thread in regards to the party pop-up bonuses but I really want to try and figure out how they are coming up with these and what I’m obviously doing wrong here. Just as a background I am a blue level player, I just moved back to Party after the skins split. Last month I earned 3368 points plus 3307 bonus points playing 5-10, so it’s not like I didn’t play at all.

Well I got my pop-up and it was for $110 for 2600 points. My offer did not seem very good so I decided to see how I compared with everyone else that had posted. I figured dividing the bonus amount by points needed would be a fair comparison, mine came in a .042 per point. Here is what the others looked like:
.063
.046
.060
.061
.068
.116
.120
.127
.082
.049
.085
.065
.136
.046
.144
.101
.116
.088
.155

So anybody want to take some shots at this or make me feel better and tell me theirs is lower.

I think you need to account for the rate of earning Party points....

For example:

My offer: $320 for 4390 points. I am at silver level. Thats $0.073/point; however, if I was bronze it'd be $0.109/point.

I think you have a point there but I think your calculations are backwards. Being in Silver status would make the offer more valuable then it would be if you were bronze, because I earn the points at a rate of 1.5 times then then blue status.

No, my calculations are right. Think of it like this:

Blue = Baseline points
Silver = 1.5x baseline points
Gold = 2.0x baseline points

Convert your points to baseline points to determine the value. So my calculations above were figured via the baseline. I need 4390 points (silver) which is equivalent to 2927 blue (baseline) points.

You’re still losing me here. Explain where I’m going wrong here. For sake of making this easy I will look at this to assume I earn one point for raked each raked hand.
So in your example $320 for 4390 points:

The blue payer would have to play 4390 raked hands and in return receive $320
320/4390= $.072 per hand or point.

The silver player would have to play to play 2927 hands (4390/1.5) and in return receive $320 320/2927= $.109 per hand or point.

Just because you rate of earning points changes it does not change the value of points, or am I nuts here.

I usually play 5/10 5130 for $210 or .041 per point. This is my second month with this account I signed up two months ago to get rakeback. But my affiliate ran off with the cash so no more rakeback.

I am a silver player, who played 72,000 hands of 1/2 NL last month. I have met both offers they gave me in previous months. I was offered $380/11450 pts. or .033 per point, so you arent getting that bad of a shaft!

This is all new to me guys.

I just used to ignore popups before. Probably cost me a fair bit!

Can someone help me please?

I have 2 weeks to get 9180 points and for this I would get $930. I am in the silver category. I 4 table 5-10.

Can someone give me a rough idea how many hands I would need to play?

Regards!

I've got a theory - just a theory now. It seems there is very little connection between the bonus amount to points ratio. Some high limit players have a poor ratio, some low limit players have a high ratio. Same story with limit and no-limit, some players have a good ratio, others very poor.

Obviously the target number for points is based off past play.

Anyways, I was thinking of any mystery variables and I thought perhaps the total amount of party points you've earned in total in the past has to do with your ratio. It seems to make sense on the surface, since most of the best ratios are high limit players who play alot and most of the bad ratios are low limit players who might be newer to party.

Just a theory, would be difficult to prove without a long thread w/ alot of responses including offer ratio & total points earned. I doubt a ton of people are up for this now since there are like 8 threads all over where people are posting their offers.

EDIT: But it would be very easy to disprove. Like someone with very few party points total posting a very good ratio or someone with a gigantic amount of total points posting a very bad ratio.

I have accumulated over 140k party points in the past year and a half at party, and i have the poorest ratio of all the offers out there. I don't really deposit that often, so those points are 99% based on play. I don't think it has to do with past points. There has to be some sort of variable they are using, but whatever it is... it's baffling.

This was a nice surprise, 900 dollars for 5k points /images/graemlins/smile.gif Usually 6tabling 5-10 6max, can't take that long to clear I hope.
It says I get the cash on February 2, 2006. Anyone knows if this affects this or next months MGR?

I think I have this beat: $250 for 7100 points. Egad.

Silver level, playing 10/20, 15/30, and 20/40 full. This is my first VIP offer. Guess they're not trying to impress me.
